The pangolin is a rare mammal with scales covering it’s skin similar to human nails, they are the only known mammals with this feature. Due to poaching and illegal trade, pangolin populations around the world are drastically declining. In some traditional medicine, pangolin scales are considered a medicine for various diseases.
